Wait, keep it under 3500RPM until 1600 miles?

M6GC is best 6 series. I also prefer it to an M5.

That’s going to be a hard rule to keep.

Does it have tiny sun visors? I bet it has tiny sun visors.

Siiiiiick! Congrats! Performance cars should be carefully broken in before they are sold. So hard to resist.

Ah I didn’t see the previous post

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the 6 GC body style...but that car looks really badass. Congrats!

The tiniest.

Just today. I haven’t even done anything but driven it from the dealer to work, ~3 miles.

Just needs a few mods:

The F-Type has “sun visors”

Congrats! Such a beautiful car. I don’t get the haters who complain about the 4-door-coupe-version-of-a-sedan or whatever thing. It’s a gorgeous machine no matter what it is named. Which kind of leather/wood/carbon combo does it have on the inside?

Oh - $39,000 to rent

Exactly - less than the depreciation hit over 3 years to buy. But I think I interrupted your sarcasm...

Congrats. That’s one of the best looking BMW’s currently, in my opinion.

Yuck! :)

Bump it up to 5K you will be fine, definitely need to behave yourself though for that first oil change. Now I am going to get really serious here for a sec. Please I beg of you get a third party GPS tracker for your car DO NOT rely on BMW’s system as it is garbage and really sketchy when it comes to relaying information to you. My father had the unfortunate experience of this car literally just walking out of the parking garage and it took him forever to figure out where its last locations were before eventually it ended up on a boat and set off to sea. Some prick in Albania or somewhere is probably enjoying that car right now. It is a truly awesome car and you will feel 5 years younger the first time you drop the hammer to the floor. Best of luck, I hope it brings nothing but smiles to your face and tire tracks on the road behind you.

Fun fact, my mustang didn’t require a break in period. Most new cars don’t anymore.

AWESOME! MWAR pictures please!!!
Also, what options? Manual or auto?

Cool, you got one!
6MT, I assume?

That’s what I thought. The last 2 news cars had no indicated break-in period.
They tell me that the diff fluid and oil is different from the factory than the steady-state fluid.

Didn’t even know you could get a 6-series sedan— I mean, Grand koopay.

But, but... because racecar.

This is what the 5 series should be

Nice. Congrats.
FWIW new AMG cars require a break in as well. But it’s 4000rpm max for 1000 miles (IIRC). Most people just go on a weekend road trip.

How is it? My cousin got one when this design first was launched in white. I haven’t gotten a chance to check one out yet.
